Finding the best way to show off a new television set is vitally important to consumers because what would be the point of spending so much money on a new set if it couldn’t be seen? The current financial climate is such that every purchase must be justified and its merit vindicated, so expensive purchases, even something that can increase viewing pleasure, needs to be seriously considered. Depending on the type of television set or even the layout of the room, a lot of different options could be taken into account to find the optimum viewing location for a new television. If the TV is a slim line set, it would benefit from being hung on a wall, and there are a great range of brackets and mounts that can ensure this happens. Regardless of budget or fashion, there is likely to be a bracket or wall mount to suit the need of every consumer. This is helped by the Vesa TV bracket which is guaranteed to match the holes of all Vesa approved TVs. This is terrific value and should ensure that no customer is deprived the chance to make the most of their viewing situation. Read the rest of this entry »

You may have heard in the news recently, about Microsoft joining forces with Yahoo to try and take on Google. Well in this article I hope to explain to you what it is all about and how it effects you.
I could start off way back, right at the beginning of the two companies, but I’m not going to, as there would be too much to put into one article. However I will tell you a bit of background to the current situation, and what this means for: Google; Microsoft; Yahoo; and you, the computer user. Read the rest of this entry »

Branded USB Memory sticks are everywhere these days. Given the benefits they offer its no real surprise. But as more and more companies use branded USB memory sticks to promote their products or support their marketing and advertising activities its all the more important to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
Printed or engraved memory sticks that reflect your brand/logo, ideally in a complimentary colour and style can look fantastic and they do make a real impact. But, creating a custom shaped USB memory stick takes you into another league.
Custom USB memory sticks that take their design influence and styling from your logo, products or the market you operate in never fail to have an impact way beyond standard USB products. Done well they become real talking points and can be a fundamental part of any advertising or promotional campaign. This novelty factor and appeal can be important in ensuring your hard spent marketing cash is not simply thrown away or tossed into a drawer. Read the rest of this entry »

I am going on holiday now – in fact – as you are reading this, I am already on holiday! Unfortunately, this means that I will not be able to update the blog.
Do not worry though, I will be filling the next two weeks with Phil Battison’s General Tech articles and a couple of Christopher Robert’s posts. I hope you enjoy reading them and that you look forward to my return.

Hopefully you are pretty secure with the basics of PHP by now. If not, you should read part 1 and part 2 of this series. This part is about functions. What are they; how do you use them; and how can you utilise your own functions? Functions can be a great tool to speed up your coding and to make applications run much more smoothly, so let’s go!
Functions are blocks of code that can be called upon at any point in the script to perform a particular task or ‘function’. There are more than 750 functions built into a normal install of PHP, but you can define your own too, making them very versatile and easy. Read the rest of this entry »

I hope you have enjoyed my other reviews but this is one is about a film that I have recently seen at a friend’s party. Transformers – Revenge of The Fallen is the sequel of the first film ‘Transformers’ and as I liked the first I was thrilled about going to see this one. The first film is just an intro of how the Transformers came to be, it also explains the ancient war between the Autobots (Good) and the Decepticons (Evil). This Transformers film is a lot more grown up than the first and it talks about the first ever landing of the Transformers in pre-historic times on planet Earth. Another part of the film is right at the start where you find out that the U.S army have teamed up with Autobots to create a team called NEST. This is used to destroy Decepticons that are a threat to the planet Earth. Once in Shanghai they capture one and it warns them. It talks about the fallen rising again…

My main comment would have to be aimed at the cameras in this film, they just couldn’t take there eyes off actress Megan Fox’s chest. In my opinion it was an awesome follow up to the first film, with a very large attitude this film rocketed and has hit our cinemas with a bang and by the looks of things there will probably be another film in the future. I enjoyed this films teenage humour and was shocked out my seat with the attention to detail and frenzy of fire power! I thought it was ‘Mind-blowing’.
This film really had and impact on me and an impact of even more transformers with a lot more variety. these monsters ranged from a household hoover to the biggest robot so far. I would give this film an incredible 4 stars!

This is my first ever little bit of teaching to you people out there, so I’m going to make it kind of simple by just giving you a few tips on a well known game. Call of Duty – or COD – has been a huge success since it was first released. They are war games and the most recent release has been the 5th game called: Call of Duty – World at War. This game is set in WWII and covers both the battles between the Russians and Germans and the Americans against the Japanese. The game-play covers everything from on-line multilayer mode and co-op campaigns to a gruesome and gruelling fight with Nazi Zombies.
I quite like this game but my friend likes it a whole lot more. He loves the game and plays the many different modes, he is 3rd prestige, level 55. Him and I will be giving you a few tips about gun classes and more. We will also be giving you a short review of the amazing Nazi Zombies and to top it of we will talk about the very recent map pack releases. Read the rest of this entry »
